But What Does it Mean?

On its own, Venus going conjunct the North Node in Pisces happening at the same time as Uranus conjoins the MC (Midheaven) in Taurus, would mostly feel like a quirk, a blip, something worth noticing but not centering. However, given the events that lead up to it - especially Saturn’s conjunction to the North Node in Pisces just a few days prior - this feels like the moment when enough space has finally been cleared off of the desk for new progress to be made.

The Full Moon in Libra came with some serious demands to live out what could have seemed impossible. It showed us where our complexity could filter down into our concrete reality in the form of something far less nuanced. At the same time, Venus was in the process of turning direct in Pisces. Cycles were being closed out on levels we hadn’t experienced in a long time. If there’s ever been a full moon that required us to have grace for ourselves (as if that isn’t every full moon), it would have been this one.

Now, Venus is direct in Pisces. Mercury is entering Aries (and about to go conjunct with Neptune). Mars will be leaving the sign of its detriment soon, entering Leo, and leaving retroshade shortly after. Simply put, there is new, fresh, energy in our midst. The series of retrogrades we have been going through since late 2024, between Venus, Mars, and Mercury, have been resolved. We are in a better position to look to the future. The feeling that we are chasing our own tails, while running on empty batteries, dissatisfied by our usual vices, should diminish.

On April 19th, the Sun enters Taurus. With any luck, this may help us avoid over-exerting ourselves in response to the removed stress of these difficult transits, as the sign of the bull rarely likes to do anything at a rushed or uncomfortable pace.

What I have described have been generally passive transits, events for us to feel, shifts in atmosphere, divorced from our input. But (as always) there is a story of choice playing out on top over the surface of this landscape.

After Venus goes direct in Pisces, but before Mars leaves Cancer, Saturn conjoins the North Node in Pisces on April 14th (the day before I am writing this). The results of our actions still so blatantly on display just days after the last full moon, Venus freshly awake after its retrograde, and Mars pushing to complete the last parts of its venture through Cancer, this transit is a narrowing of focus.

If you can not answer the question, “What were you sent here to do?” then you will at least be able to answer the question of what you were NOT sent here for while this transit plays out. This doesn’t have to be a painful process. Patterns, relationships, beliefs, perspectives can all be let go of as easily as a gift to the river. There is no need to violently fling anything away. What does not serve you and what you were not meant to spend your time on, will be willingly taken away from your open hand. Ideally, this is a welcome release, where the transparent clarity makes letting go an easy choice. You were never meant to hold onto everything forever. Clear your desk, put away old papers, and give yourself some room because something is coming to take its place.

On April 20th, nearly a week later, after all the planetary shifts we discussed earlier have occurred, and many planets seem to be in energy they are in more alignment with, there will be clarity, understanding, and fertile soil for new developments. We will be able to imagine what we want, with detail and more complete development. We will be eager to discuss our ideas, draw up plans, put together schematics. The beauty of it will be appealing. Our fine motor skills, or ability to center and focus on minutiae, will be heightened, making it seem like the ideas flow naturally, easily. We will surprise ourselves in how we can hold our thoughts in order even as they seem to rapidly appear. This is a day where the pieces start to come together.

The more room you have made in the days leading up to this event, the more you have been mindful over yourself, your habits, where your focus is going, what aesthetics you most appreciate, the areas you find lacking in beauty or harmony, the more you have tried to balance yourself over your purpose like balancing over a blade, the more fluidly you will flow through this day and what it can bring you. This is the day where answers and action appear. This is where your focus can bring you, your will, into this manifested reality. The effort you apply in creating meaningful work for yourself will be amplified as the both of these transits co-exist with the other.

Meditate on the work that seems worthwhile to you, the actions you want to be most associated with. Write down what comes to mind. And then hold tight to those ideas as we approach our next New Moon in Taurus on April 27th.
